Some of you may be familiar with Seasons in the Mountains, which is run by the Wade family, but for those that aren't, they run a campground for young adults in the demographic that Vessel serves. Every other Saturday throughout the year, young adults visit this campground for fun activities like volleyball and axe throwing. They also go there to host worship services and share testimonies. Two to three dozen young adults attend, including some of our Vessel members.
We were given the chance to serve this ministry in October by first going to clean up the property and build shelving units, and the second by helping them organize a fundraiser. If you feel led, go show some support to a local ministry serving an undeserved demographic.
November showed great variety in helping a homeless lady throughout various times in the month, moving furniture for Katherine, doing roof repair for Jennifer, and helping two of our Vessel members with much needed landscaping.
With no projects done in December due to the holidays, we ended out the year matching our highest number of service projects ever completed at a total of 24.
Thank you Lord for the opportunity you give your people to serve like you taught us and thank you to those who have prayed for us and helped to financially support us.
We look forward to seeing you in 2024 as we try to beat our our best year of 24 service projects. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our church families!
