Vessel Ministry Community Service | Young Adult Christian Group in North Georgia and Western North Carolina
Our team donated needed items to the homeless.

With the holidays this time of year, we were able to complete three service projects, which is typical for the fourth quarter.

One of the three projects we took on involved sealing a roof for a woman who was living out of a shed. As you can imagine, she was in desperate need, as it will eventually get colder once we get into January and February. In addition, we plan to return to her residence early next year to do additional sealing, electrical work, plumbing, and yard work.

This next two projects came as a surprise to us and was an ongoing event. One of our Vessel team members, who has a very outgoing personality, is always meeting new people. He connected with a homeless encampment and started taking items to them. What started small turned into shopping carts full of necessities. What also started as one Vessel member helping turned into a large handful of our members helping and donating. The project moved online to social media, where others gladly supported and donated. Because of the charity online, our group was able to serve the homeless encampment's needs. You can imagine the effect this had on the homeless people in Blue Ridge. Our prayer is that the gospel, as it was presented in the words and deeds of our group, is a seed that will bloom in time. We truly have some wonderful young adults!

And that wraps up the year everyone! I pray that these reports have encouraged you as we enter into 2026. Pray for us, donate, and see how you can get involved. I also pray that reading these reports will compel the reader to serve their community more heartily. There is a way we can all pitch in for the greater good. And if you haven't served in a way like this before and are intimidated by it, let me tell you that few feelings hit harder than knowing you changed someone's life with your time, or that you made someone's hard circumstances a little bit easier.

It is an amazing feeling because it is a feeling close to God's heart. We serve because He first served us. That love changes lives. Be blessed my friends. Until next time, go in the peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
