Vessel Ministry Community Service | Young Adult Christian Group in North Georgia and Western North Carolina

April through June of 2023 was a record quarter for our ministry. The Lord blessed us with 9 service projects. I can't begin to tell you how proud of our members I am!

In April we cut up some fallen trees for an older lady who had back surgery. We teamed up with someone from the Ridge Community Church to accomplish this. Fawn was very grateful for the support as her and her daughter always end up having to do these things by themselves.

This month we also helped move Sandy's dad's stuff out of a nursing home as he passed away in the night. This was a tender time, as we did more ministering than we did work. To be in situations like these are exactly what the body of Christ is called to be in. We serve those great physical needs in order to engage the spiritual needs.

In May we repaired an older couple's old electric gate... a few times haha. This humble couple was a joy to serve as they were so generous and kind towards us for any help we could provide. We also served one of our sponsors, The Ridge Community Church, by installing a silt fence for their hill.

June was mostly made up of return trips to people we served in the prior two months. This included Fawn and the older couple with the electric gate. The work for both parties moved indoors as we made repairs on their homes that were desperately needed. In addition to these return trips we did a couple of furniture moving projects and got some decks pressure washed for another couple.

It was a busy busy quarter! The Lord had much work for us to do and without our members we could never have hoped to accomplish all of this. It never ceases to amaze what happens when God's people come together in obedience.
